* Exported from MasterCook * Chocolate Sheet Cake Recipe By : Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Cakes Chocolate Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- Sheet Cake 2 cups granulated sugar 2 cups all purpose flour 1/2 cup sour milk 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 stick margarine 1/2 cup shortening 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 teaspoon baking soda 4 tablespoons cocoa 1 cup cold water 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 large eggs Icing 5 tablespoons milk 4 tablespoons cocoa 1 cup nuts 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 stick margarine 1 box powdered sugar Sheet Cake: Sift flour and sugar together in a large mixing bowl. Mix cocoa, margarine, shortening and water in sauce pan. Bring to boil, pour over flour mixture and beat well. Add remaining ingredients and mix. Bake in floured cookie sheet pan (1x17) at 375 degrees for 20 minutes or until done. Five minutes before cake is done prepare icing. Icing: Place milk, cocoa and margarine in sauce pan, bring to boil. Add vanilla extract, nuts, sugar and beat. Pour over hot cake. Icing sets quickly/.
